ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Responsible for maintenance and DOT compliance of terminal fleet vehicles and equipment.
Oversee and review all service failures, define root cause and develop corrective actions.
Analyze maintenance costs and provide recommendations on equipment.
Ensure maintenance records for fleet are accurate and current.
Implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimum down time.
Communicate maintenance requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and implement correction actions as required.
Identify maintenance employee training requirements and ensure successful completion.
Implement established preventative maintenance programs to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimum down time.
Affect timely repairs when equipment failures occur.
Negotiate maintenance vendor’s service agreements to ensure cost efficiencies.
Analyze all outside repairs for accuracy and cost reduction to company.
Establish vehicle and equipment maintenance to comply with safety regulations.
Participate in the recruitment, selection and discipline of maintenance personnel as required.
Ensure employee adherence to established policies and procedures with special emphasis on those concerning personal and equipment safety.
Oversee company warranty and tire program.
Complete special projects and perform other duties as needed.
