ASSISTANT FLEET MAINTENANCE MANAGER KY-IN Metropolitan area
The results-oriented, personable professional we select for this important role will support our fleet maintenance manager by directing activities with top efficiency to maximize the use of heavy-duty, Class-8 equipment, trailers and MHE, facilities, and personnel. Acting as the second in command, this confident, capable individual will train employees; assign, plan, and direct work; assist in handling performance appraisals; reward/discipline employees; and address and resolve issues and complaints.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
•Inspect equipment to ensure proper maintenance. •Oversee staff payroll, inventory and billing processes. •Monitor the distribution of incentives, implementation of safety training, and paperwork. •Establish and implement short- and long-term goals, policies, and operating procedures. •Prepare reports on production, inventory/staff usage and risk management. •Remain on call on a regular basis and occasionally work nights or weekends.
