The Manager of Daly Field Athletic Facilities Operations and Events will provide leadership and oversight of athletic facilities and operations at Daly Field Complex. This position reports to the Director of Athletics and will work closely with Simmons University facilities staff. The successful candidate will ensure smooth communications and coordination in scheduling facilities and events with Simmons Athletic Department staff, other campus staff, as well as with government agencies such as the Department of Recreation and Conservation and the Friends of Daly Field, Inc. In addition, this position is responsible for supervising all operations for game facilities and staff in conducting high quality home Athletic events.Essential FunctionsDaly Field Operations Management:Schedule, coordinate and attend meetings of the Daly Field Stewardship Group. Meetings will be held in within close proximity to Daly Field and are open to the public. These meetings will be quarterly during the year, and possibly monthly from March to November, the need for which monthly meetings will be determined by DRC. DRC or a representative will preside over the meetings;Receive event schedules and all anticipated parking requirements from all members of the Stewardship Group. Coordinate with DRC on master schedule of all events planned and scheduled by the members of the Stewardship Group, and/or for games to be permitted by DCR and which would involve the PEMP and ensure the schedule available to the general public through posting on the ABFDF website;At the quarterly meetings, identify any conflicting events and coordinate with the members of the Stewardship Group to change schedules whenever possible to avoid scheduling conflicts and to plan and implement an event-specific transportation management plan when needed to accommodate conflicting events;Responsible for ensuring all group members follow the Parking and Events Management Plan (PEMP) as agreed by the Daly Field Stewardship Group and outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding Serve as Transportation Coordinator at Daly Fields;Implement annual assessment of the effectiveness of the PEMP based on the parameters developed and agreed-upon by the Stewardship Group, including:1. Number and types of complaints received from the general public by any member of the Stewardship Group during the prior year;2. Number of traffic related problems identified by the State Police, DCR, or any other state agency.On-site parking coordination will include ensuring vehicles are parked in correct spaces and directing vehicles to possible off site locations if lots are at capacity; Communicate off-site parking coordination to limit the impact of the event on-site.
