TITLE: New Truck Manager – RiverStates Truck & Trailer ( Roberts / Eau Claire )
JOB SUMMARY
Maintain the current customer base and increase market penetration thru profitable truck sales. Develop marketing strategies for new truck sales and cascade those strategies throughout the sales department. Supervision of the day-to-day operations of the New Truck Department including the new truck sales staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Secures orders, conducts surveys of assigned territory, studies product population, locates new prospects and determines prospects' needs, plans sales calls, makes presentations, points out the benefits of the equipment, and emphasizes the advantages of dealing with the Company.
Evaluates the New Truck Department’s performance against targets and standards, and takes appropriate corrective action
Helps customers solve problems, provides technical assistance as needed, and keeps customers up to date with new developments.
Maintains knowledge of new contracts and opportunities, settles complaints, establishes and maintains personal relations with customers, and assists at exhibits, demonstrations, and meetings.
Trains and develops salespeople and other New Truck Department personnel
Maintains expertise with new products developed by the factory and by the competition, and keeps the Company informed of marketplace changes.
Maintains records of calls and makes reports as required, works according to plan, follows up on all leads, contract lettings, and inquiries. Controls travel, telephone, and entertainment expenses for the department.
Sees that equipment is correctly delivered and meets all of the conditions of the sale, and takes action to render prompt service in case of any deficiencies.
Works closely with Accounting Department to ensure accurate and timely commission processing.
Works closely with the F&I Department to ensure F&I penetration.
Able to meet travel requirements
Performs other duties as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The New Truck Manager reports directly to the General Manager
Previous supervisory experience.
Achievement of specific targets as set out in the New Truck Manager’s target memo.
Satisfactory performance of the duties listed on the job description.
Adherence to company policy and standard operating procedures.
