JOB HIGHLIGHTS
Position is a member of the Transportation & Logistics team of the North American IT Supply Chain & Logistics Solutions organization.
Position aligns functionally with the global IT Transportation, Logistics & Integration team in Germany, and partners with counterparts in the other IT regions (APAC, EMEA, India, and LATAM).
Key Responsibilities
Stabilize, customize and support new SAP S/4 Transport Management (TM) landscape (including SAP BNL/LBN and 3rd party interfaces) globally.
Roll-out of new SAP S/4 Transport Management (TM) landscape to other countries / LANXESS companies.
Management of external service providers (e.g., EDI).
Close cooperation with LANXESS logistics and supply chain organization and interacting service providers.
Includes preparation and execution of regional and international workshops and meetings.
Being part of implementation of latest SAP and non-SAP applications / modules (e.g. SAP Business Network for Logistics, Elemica, SAP Global Track and Trace).
Analysis and debugging of urgent (3rd level) TM issues (e.g., creation of documents).
REQUIREMENTS
Must Have (Technical Skills)
BA/BS Degree and 7+ years of relevant business / Information Technology experience (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC, etc.).
Customizing (e.g., SPRO, BRF+) and configuration of processes and objects in SAP S/4 Transport Management (TM), explicitly in the new technology environment of S4/HANA including BRF+.
At least 3 years of experience in rollout and customizing of SAP TM (e.g., customizing TM settlement, planning, execution).
Business process knowledge in Transport Management and Logistics.
Experience in project management in global IT projects (U.S., Germany, India and other locations).
Some experience with SAP Logistics Business Network (LBN) would be an advantage.
Must Have (Analytical / Teamwork)
Solution oriented and demonstrates the ability to “Think new” and “Act fast”.
Strong team and communication skills in an international environment (Germany, India, etc.)
Highly Desirable
Experience in supporting both Inventory Management (IM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) processes.
Experience with end-to-end logistics business processes (SD, MM, IM/EWM, TM).
Desirable
Work experience with an international chemical manufacturing company.
Work experience in ABAP-coding / ABAP object-oriented coding / debugging / IDOC processing.
Experience with SAP integrations and carve-outs in support of mergers & acquisitions (M&A).
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
