The Research Associate is expected to be involved in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data and may assist or supervise field data collection and/or equipment installation in support of various research projects.
In addition to project-related tasks, the position is expected to assist in preparation of state and national-level proposals and be involved in group and Transportation Institute staff meetings.
The Research Associate is also expected to provide administrative support to the Director of Transportation, Management of sponsored program, and activities of this interdisciplinary research unit.
Coordinates financial and contract activities, recommends policy changes for internal operations, supervises student research assistants, program scholars and support staff assigned to the unit.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
As an interdisciplinary research, training, and technology transfer unit, Transportation Institute draws faculty, staff, and students from various departments within the Deese College of Business and Economics, the College of Sciences and Technology, the College of Engineering and across the entire NC A&T State University.
Transportation Institute(TI) has been a leader in transportation-related research, education, and technology transfer since it was established in established in 1970.
