Position Summary

The Parts & Service Manager oversees the daily workflow and performance of both the service and parts departments. This role ensures that repairs are completed accurately and on schedule, parts are available and cost-effective, and customers receive an outstanding experience. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader with strong knowledge of Volvo trucks and dealership operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop service technicians, advisors, and parts personnel
• Oversee service scheduling, repair processes, diagnostics, and quality control
• Manage parts inventory, purchasing, and vendor relations
• Ensure accurate repair estimates, invoicing, and Volvo warranty submissions
• Drive customer satisfaction; handle escalations professionally
• Track and manage departmental KPIs, productivity, and profitability
• Maintain compliance with all manufacturers’ policies, service standards, and safety regulations
• Collaborate with sales to support internal repairs, pre-delivery inspections, and customer fleet needs
• Promote a clean, safe, and efficient shop environment
• Support marketing efforts to grow parts and service revenue

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of commercial truck dealership or fleet service management experience
• Strong technical knowledge of Volvo truck systems and diagnostic processes or equivalent
• Familiarity with Volvo warranty procedures and dealer portal systems preferred
• Proven leadership skills with ability to develop and retain high-performing teams
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer-service skills
• Experience managing parts inventory and procurement
• Understanding of department financials, KPIs, and budgeting
• Proficiency with dealership management systems: ADP / CDK
